Atelier BikArt

Atelier BikArt is the creative studio of Margot Bik, a local artist on Texel who transitioned from a scientific career in biology and chemistry to painting, sculpture, and photography in 2004. Located behind Meubelmakerij Tromp in Den Burg, her work focuses on revealing the hidden character of people through abstract and figurative portraits, where emotions shape the form rather than physical likeness.

In photography, Margot explores the unseen by zooming in on details and enhancing underlying colours, creating a sense of estrangement that transforms familiar subjects. Her studio serves as an inspiring space where these artistic processes unfold.
