Boetje van Klemat

Boetje van Klemat is a cultural space on Texel where artist Ericka Voortman and local resident Ruud Bakker transform a historic boet (shed) into an immersive art experience. Since 2013, Voortman has created annual installations using natural materials like driftwood, jute, shells, feathers, and sheep’s wool, designed to slow visitors down and blend with the surrounding Klemat landscape.

The exhibitions are freely accessible, with donations welcomed to support the project. Visitors can purchase a Getijdenboekje (tide booklet) or art postcards.
