OCT de Skool is the modern home of Jac. P. Thijsseschool, an openbare primary school on Texel located in the architecturally distinctive De Skool building since 2022. Inspired by educator and conservationist Jac. P. Thijsse, the school embraces nature and local culture as part of its learning philosophy. The ThijsseLab offers a hands-on science laboratory with five specialised workstations, including botanical and ecological research areas, while the 4x Wijzer method simplifies learning through structured inquiry.
