Wadden Academy - Texel

Wadden Academy on Texel offers a practical vocational school for hospitality training, combining work and study in a unique island setting. This accelerated mbo programme allows students to earn a recognised diploma in one year for level 2 or two years for level 3—half the standard duration—while receiving paid on-the-job training. Students live on Texel or another Wadden Island, experiencing island life through organised field trips and personalised support.

The academy provides small-scale education with a focus on the Wadden Islands’ character, integrating local culture into the curriculum. Graduates receive a job guarantee with affiliated employers, and tuition is covered by the employer. Open days are held regularly, including one on Texel on 7 February 2026.
